Frequently Asked Questions Corflute Sign FAQs Find answers to common questions about Corflute signs, material thickness, artwork preparation, printing, mounting, ordering, delivery, payment and product care.

Corflute Product & Printing

What is a Corflute sign?

Corflute is a lightweight corrugated polypropylene sheet with internal flutes that add rigidity while keeping the finished sign easy to handle.

JBM Displays prints directly onto the sheet in full colour, making it suitable for temporary business, promotional, directional, event, real estate and site signage.

Should I choose 3 mm or 5 mm Corflute?

Choose 3 mm Corflute for lightweight indoor displays and short-term signage. Choose 5 mm Corflute when additional rigidity is preferred, particularly for larger signs, outdoor placement or longer-term use.

The correct choice also depends on the finished size, mounting method, exposure and support available at the installation location.

Can my Corflute sign be printed on both sides?

Yes. The calculator provides Single-Sided and Double-Sided printing options.

Double-sided printing is useful when the sign will be viewed from both directions, including suitable freestanding, hanging, event and real estate applications.

What sizes and shapes can I order?

Use the calculator to enter the required finished dimensions and choose from the available shape options. The live preview and price update according to the selected size, material, print sides, mounting finish and quantity.

For a size or shape outside the calculator options, contact JBM Displays before submitting the order.

Will printed colours look exactly like my screen?

Computer monitors, phones and tablets display colour using light, and their brightness and colour settings vary. A printed sign therefore cannot be guaranteed to look exactly the same on every screen.

Supplying correctly prepared artwork and viewing it on a reasonably calibrated display helps produce a more predictable result.

Artwork & File Preparation

How do I prepare artwork for my selected size?

Choose the finished dimensions first, then select PDF Template in the calculator. The generated template is based on the current size and includes 5 mm bleed, the cutting line and a 30 mm safe zone.

Keep important text and logos inside the safe zone and extend backgrounds or images through the bleed area.

Which artwork file types can I upload?

The Corflute order system accepts PNG, JPG, JPEG, PDF and Adobe Illustrator files. The upload area displays the current per-file size limit.

Where possible, supply the original print-ready artwork rather than a screenshot or a file copied from social media.

What happens if my artwork is not print-ready?

Select the artwork-assistance option that best matches the help required. Available services include technical artwork preparation and more extensive design assistance.

JBM Displays reviews the supplied order details and artwork before production. If something needs clarification, we will contact you before printing begins.

Can I submit an order without uploading artwork?

Yes. If no artwork has been uploaded, the order system asks you to confirm that you want to continue without it.

The order will record that no artwork was supplied, and JBM Displays will contact you before production to arrange the required files.

Can I download the artwork template again later?

Yes. Select Edit beside the saved Corflute design, confirm its dimensions, then select PDF Template again.

This is useful when an order contains several signs with different finished sizes.

Mounting & Intended Use

Can eyelets be added to my Corflute signs?

Yes. Select Eyelets under Mounting Finish, then choose one of the available quantities or enter a custom number.

The calculator positions corner eyelets first and distributes the remaining fixing points evenly around the outside edge.

Can adhesive mounting tape be applied to the rear?

Yes. Select Adhesive Tape and choose the required tape placement, including all four sides, selected edges or individual edges.

The suitability of tape depends on the receiving surface, cleanliness, temperature, sign size and installation conditions.

How should Corflute signs be secured outdoors?

Use fixings appropriate for the supporting surface and the sign's size, thickness and exposure. Eyelets can be used with suitable cable ties or other appropriate fasteners, while supported frames and stakes may suit particular applications.

Outdoor signs must be installed securely. Wind loading increases with sign area, so larger or exposed signs may require additional support and fixing points.

Can Corflute be used as a freestanding sign?

Corflute may be used with a suitable supporting frame, stake system or display structure. The sheet should not be expected to remain freestanding without support.

For exposed or larger applications, 5 mm Corflute generally provides more rigidity than 3 mm, but the complete installation must still be suitable for the location.

Does the direction of the flutes matter?

The internal flutes affect how the sheet flexes. A sign is generally more rigid in the direction running parallel with the flutes and bends more readily across them.

If flute direction is important for a particular frame, stake or installation method, include the requirement in the order notes for review before production.

Ordering & Automatic Discounts

Can I order several Corflute sizes or designs together?

Yes. Configure the first sign, add it to Your Designs, then create additional Corflute configurations. Each saved design can have its own size, shape, thickness, print sides, mounting finish, artwork service and quantity.

Review every saved design in the order summary before submitting.

How do the automatic volume discounts work?

The calculator automatically applies the current discount when the eligible printed Corflute products and mounting options reach a configured threshold.

Artwork assistance and delivery are excluded from the discount calculation. The active thresholds and percentages are shown beside the calculator and can be updated by JBM Displays in the WordPress settings.

Are the calculator prices inclusive of GST?

Yes. Customer prices and order subtotals displayed by the Corflute calculator include GST.

Delivery is not included in the calculator subtotal and is confirmed after the order is reviewed.

Is a purchase order number required?

No. The Purchase Order Number field is optional. Leave it blank if your business or organisation does not use purchase orders.

Can I review the complete order before submitting?

Yes. Open Review Your Corflute Order inside the submission window to check the saved designs, quantities, product subtotal, artwork services, discounts and order subtotal.

You must confirm that the details are correct and agree to the Terms & Conditions before submitting.

Delivery, Collection & Payment

Is delivery included in the calculator price?

No. Delivery is calculated after JBM Displays reviews the destination, postcode, order quantity and package size.

The confirmed delivery charge is included when the final order amount is issued for approval.

Can I collect my Corflute order?

Pickup can be selected as the delivery method when submitting the order. Collection details and availability are confirmed during order review.

Do I pay when submitting the calculator order?

No payment is required when the Corflute order is submitted.

JBM Displays reviews the product selections, artwork and delivery requirements before confirming the final amount and issuing the appropriate invoice. Production begins after approval and payment.

What happens after I submit my order?

You receive an order reference and confirmation of the submitted Corflute designs. JBM Displays then reviews the order, artwork status and delivery or collection requirements.

If anything needs clarification, we will contact you before the final amount is confirmed and production begins.

Care & Storage

How should printed Corflute signs be cleaned?

Wipe the surface gently with a soft cloth using mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive scrubbers and strong solvents because they may scratch the sheet or damage the printed surface.

Test any cleaning method on an inconspicuous area first.

How should Corflute signs be stored between uses?

Store signs flat in a clean, dry area away from excessive heat and direct sunlight. Place clean protective sheets between printed faces to reduce rubbing and scratching.

Do not place heavy objects on unsupported signs or store them where the sheets may bend.

Can a badly bent or creased Corflute sign be repaired?

A light curve caused by storage may reduce after the sign is laid flat, but a crushed flute or sharp crease is usually permanent.

Prevent damage by transporting and storing signs flat with appropriate support.

How long will a Corflute sign last outdoors?

Service life varies with sunlight, weather, wind exposure, installation method, sign size and handling. Corflute is commonly selected for temporary and short-to-medium-term signage rather than permanent exterior installations.

For exposed locations or longer use, discuss the application with JBM Displays before ordering.
